This 1988 Etobicoke Historical Board plaque is located in Marie Curtis Park in the southwest corner of the city at the mouth of Etobicoke Creek between the creek and the parking lot off 42nd Street. Here's what it says:

In August, 1788, Alexander Aitkin commenced the survey of the western boundary of the lands purchased from the Mississauga Indians near here, at the mouth of Etobicoke Creek.
