The plaque, apparently located here before the building at 42 Temperance Street was demolished, is missing. According to Heritage Toronto, it's a Toronto Historical Board plaque and the text of the plaque says:
Plaque coordinates: 43.650632 -79.380341 |

Professor Andrew Smith, appointed by the Board of Agriculture of Upper Canada, founded the first veterinary school in Canada on this site in 1862. A prominent figure in Toronto, he served as the first president of the Ontario Veterinary Association, which was located here from 1874-1914 and was the first chairman of the Ontario Jockey Club, established in 1881. The College moved to University Avenue in 1914 and to Guelph, Ontario, in 1922.
